Week 7 and 8
These pups have kept me so busy I didn't get time to update. Socialisation has gone well and the start of training had gone in. Pups were responding well to the clicker. Daniela and her son (Finnie's family) came over for a visit to see Finnie's babies and they were very pleased with them. That weekend the pups started to go to their new homes leaving just 2 that were going the following weekend. It was very sad to see the pups go but the reports we have had from their new families are all good and they have settled in well.

Weeks 5,6 and 7
Well as you can tell the last few weeks have been very busy with looking after these little (or not so little) balls of ginger fluff. They have grown massively and bee enjoying time out in the garden. Outside they have an enclosed part of the garden to play in with loads of toys and things to do. The latest addition was a paddling pool. They have things to climb on, under, go through, carry about and chew. Socialisation has continued with lots of visitors and objects as well as continuing with the Sounds CD. They have been out into the neighbourhood to see some of the objects that make these wierd sounds. They have also had a go at swimming in the bath.
This week socialisation has continued with the pups going out in the car to have their vet check as well as going out and about generally - visits to the park, nearby school and petshop are on the agenda for this week. As well as building upon the training that has been started.

Week 4
Pups are continuing to do well and are playing well, most of the time. They are testing each others boundaries now. They mainly come running over when they see us or we call them. They are eating well and weaning is going well, Brodeur is spending less time with them but goes in after their meals mainly to clean up the left overs but also to nurse them. They are still having the Sounds Sociable CD played every day at different times when they are doing different things. They have been outside a few times now and are starting to explore and become comfortable with being out there. There has been more visitors and there has also been different objects etc every day to contine their socialisation. This week socialisation will continue as well as the pups starting to spend a little bit of time away from their littermates.

Week 3
Pups are going from strength to strength. Playing more with each other and starting to play with toys and objects as well. Socialisation has cotinued with being handled daily, having their nails clipped, being introduced to the other dogs and cat. They have also started to have visitors and these have already included children. They had their first solid meal today and also having the Sounds Sociable CD played at a low volume to start with.

Week 2
The Pups are all doing really well and today have had their first worming dose. Their eyes are now open and they are getting more active and starting to build strength enough to walk - trouble is about to begin as they go into investigating their surroundings now.

Week 1
Pups have been doing very well and Brodeur is being an attentive mum. They have all gained weight and are feeding well. They have been having stimulation in being held upright, head lower than bottom, on their back as well as having toes tickled and ears stroked.
